Are you, or is someone you know, in need of further education/training to improve employment prospects?
“Up Skillin It”, a joint initiative of Junee Shire Council and the Junee Community Centre, is a series of educational, training and community development initiatives targeted specifically for young people aged 15-25 years, to get them skilled up for their future and to reduce the instance of young people leaving
school without secured employment or further study options.
The three key initiatives of the project are:
A series of targeted short courses run throughout the year at the Junee Community Centre.
Each participant of the program will be required to complete a minimum 15 hours of volunteering work with one or multiple groups within the community.
The third initiative will be a Career Expo in the latter part of 2017.
Some of the short courses on offer may include: Interview Skills, Foundation Skills, Agriculture skills and Business Administration Skills.
