Junee Shire Council (JYC) is committed to consulting young people. Junee Youth Council will be made up of young people aged 12-24 who live in the Junee Local Government Area. JYC provides young people with the opportunity to express their views on youth issues and advise Council as well as implement their own projects.
JYC expects to be effective in promoting a positive image of young people and being active participants in the community. Some of the projects developed could include Youth Week activities, participating in community activities and planning school holiday activities.
Junee Youth Council will be made up of people aged between 11 and 18 years and young people living in surrounding towns in the Junee Shire are especially encouraged to apply to bring the needs of your communities to the table.

Approximately twelve meetings each year will be held at the Junee Recreation Centre, Lorne Street Junee.
